Groups In Progress:

Adult Therapy Group now meeting every Tuesday from 6:00 - 7:30 PM.

Therapy groups are helpful in developing an awareness of oneself in a group and recreating the difficulties of functioning in relationship to others. It helps with reality testing, building better social skills and psychological aptitude. My groups are unstructured, allowing for free interaction among the members. Such a group provides feedback and support from peers and a reduced sense of isolation.

My goal for group therapy is two-fold: People leave group not only having more self-awareness but an increased awareness and relatedness to others.

I form groups depending on patients' needs. I will post currently running groups on this site which are open but I also invite people who think they may benefit from group therapy to contact me. I will get back to you within 24 hours and let you know when and whether I will be starting a group appropriate to your needs... I will begin a group when I have sufficient number of clients who have a shared issue or would be a good dynamic mix.

I have a Certificate in Group Therapy from the Psychiatric Institute Foundation of Washington, D.C.

I am in the process of starting a new adult group for people who would like to break out of a negative pattern in their relationship with others. The group is intended to help members see what draws them into such relationships, and to empower members to change this pattern leading to constructive and fulfilling relationships or collaboration with others.

Please click here if you are interested in a group or want more information. I would be happy to answer any questions you may have about thegroup.
